About the CureCenter
Dr. Craig Backs was 53 years old, obese, and on medication to reduce his cholesterol. He thought all was fine until he had a Carotid Intima Media Thickness ultrasound that showed his arterial plaque. He asked, “What am I missing?” It turns out, he was missing a lot. “This ultrasound confirmed what I suspected. I have atherosclerosis, the same disease that caused heart attacks in many family members. I started looking for more options. It turned out there was much more I could do for myself and my patients,” says Dr. Backs. Out of this realization, the CureCenter (formerly known as the Center for Prevention) and CureCoach were born.

How is the CureCenter Different?
The CureCenter is not a traditional reactive medical practice or a wellness program.
It is a Proactive program for chronic arterial disease and diabetes early detection, proactive treatment and measured improvement with this Goal: CURE (Catastrophic Unseen Reversible Epidemic) Arterial Disease and Type 2 Diabetes.
What is the difference between CureCoach and the CureCenter?
The CureCenter is the medical practice where Dr. Backs coaches his patients face-to-face and remotely via telemedicine.
CureCoach.App is the mobile friendly software platform and process support that coordinates data, communication and coaching.
Start with a complimentary video Discovery Call, followed by:
Ultrasound of the carotid arteries (in your neck) to reveal plaque
InBody 570 composition analysis to motivate improvement in metabolic balance
This information is uploaded to CureCoach.App to help your CureCoach providers, including the CureCenter, collaborate to optimize your CurePlan. If arterial disease is found, consultation is offered and scheduled at the CureCenter with Dr. Backs either virtually or in-person. A CurePlan is discussed and testing for root causes is ordered. These tests are reviewed in a couple of weeks and a Personalized CurePlan is started.
In most cases, all or most of the cost is covered by your insurance or Medicare. An affordable cash pay plan is available.
